Hi, I’m Ivan. I hold a Level 4 Personal Training qualification – the highest currently available in the UK – recognising advanced expertise in areas such as medical conditions, rehabilitation and nutrition coaching. Fewer than 1 in 100 trainers reach this level, and my goal is to use that knowledge to help you transform your health with confidence.
Why clients choose me:

After a successful 20‑year career as a finance director in the City, a major cardiac incident led me to completely rethink my life and pursue a career in fitness. Over the past four years, I have reversed type 2 diabetes, lost 20 kg and improved my muscle mass, endurance, strength, flexibility and balance through structured training and nutrition.
This journey fuels my passion for helping others – whether younger or older, new to the gym or experienced. Having overcome my own gym anxiety, I understand how intimidating the gym can feel, and I focus on making every client feel comfortable, informed and confident in the training environment.
From a very young age I faced significant dietary challenges that affected my everyday life. After extensive testing at Great Ormond Street Hospital, I was diagnosed with multiple food allergies and intolerances, including gluten and dairy, and followed strict diets and supplement routines to stay well.
Living with these restrictions gave me a deep understanding of how powerfully food can affect energy, digestion, skin and overall wellbeing. This experience shapes my nutrition coaching today, helping me support clients with allergies, intolerances and complex dietary needs in a practical, realistic way – not just with theory.
My approach to training is strongly influenced by my own experiences with injury. Over the years I’ve had three knee operations, two shoulder surgeries and a ruptured Achilles tendon, and I’ve also rehabbed tennis elbow, biceps and quadriceps tendinopathy, lower hamstring tendonitis and long‑term back issues.
These setbacks have made me more resilient and given me invaluable insight into injury prevention and rehabilitation. I understand both the physical and mental hurdles of recovery, which allows me to offer empathetic, evidence‑based guidance to clients facing similar challenges.
As a GP Exercise Referral Specialist I work with clients referred by GPs for structured exercise programmes to help manage conditions such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma, COPD, stress and anxiety, depression, arthritis, osteoporosis, lower back pain, PCOS and Parkinson’s.
