I'm Ivan Young, a Level 4 Personal Trainer and Nutritionist specialising in diabetes, obesity and complex medical conditions. Throughout my personal training career I've worked with multiple clients on GLP-1 weight loss medications, helping them maintain muscle mass, train safely and achieve sustainable fat loss. My qualifications and personal experience — reversing type 2 diabetes and losing 25kg myself — mean I understand this journey from both sides of the fence.

If you're already taking a GLP-1 medication prescribed by your GP or specialist, you're generally cleared for exercise. However, I conduct a thorough medical screening at your first session and can liaise with your GP if needed. As a GP Exercise Referral Specialist, I'm trained to work safely with complex health conditions.
