Ivan is the founder and lead coach of Stay Young PT. Before becoming a personal trainer he spent 20 years as a Finance Director — so he understands exactly what it means to be time-poor, stressed and out of shape. After a heart attack, he lost 20kg, reversed type 2 diabetes and rebuilt his body from scratch. That lived experience is the foundation of everything he does.
He now works with adults aged 40–80 who want to get stronger, move without pain and stay independent for longer — especially those with complex injury histories, GP referrals or chronic health conditions.

Dan is a Stay Young PT coach specialising in strength, conditioning and body composition. With 9 years as a qualified personal trainer and over 15 years in sport and fitness, he understands how the body responds to both training and recovery. A former Brighton FC academy footballer, he rebuilt himself from a serious ACL injury — and now helps clients build real strength and fitness within the same evidence-based framework used across the whole Stay Young team.

Marcus coaches Muay Thai and boxing for all levels — from complete beginners who want to get fit and learn to strike, through to competitive fighters looking to sharpen their game. When you inquire, Ivan personally reviews your information and will either work with you directly (especially for complex injury cases, GP referrals, or post-surgical rehab) or match you with the best specialist from the team. Either way, Ivan designs your initial program and oversees your progress.
All coaches use the same Stay Young assessment, programming and nutrition methods—you're hiring the system and the brand, not just an individual trainer.
Yes. Every coach is personally trained by Ivan, holds a minimum Level 3 Personal Training qualification (many hold Level 4 specialist certs), and uses the same assessment, programming, and nutrition framework. We don't outsource or use unvetted contractors—if they're on this page, they've been mentored by Ivan and meet Stay Young standards.
Absolutely. If your schedule changes, you move location, or you'd simply prefer to work with a different specialist, just let us know. We'll make the transition seamless so your progress continues without interruption.
Many clients do work directly with Ivan, especially those with clinical referrals, post-surgical rehab needs, or complex injury histories. Let us know your preference when you apply, and we'll accommodate where possible based on Ivan's availability.
